Last Week’s Auction Clearance Rates
Auction clearance rates are down yet again on the previous week dropping from just under 80% to 75.7%. These are averages taken across the combined capital cities reported results. Brisbane recorded a clearance rate of 71.9%. These averages are likely to change as more results come in. The volume of properties taken to auction this week was the third biggest auction week this year with 2,930 homes reported as being taken to auction. In Brisbane, there were 194 properties listed for auction with 74 selling at auction, 33 selling before auction and a further 43 passed in or withdrawn. On the Sunshine Coast, the results were more pleasing with 32 properties listed for auction and a reported 80% clearance rate.
